Congratulations on your acceptance and welcome to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo!
We are pleased you decided to attend our University. After you have been accepted, the International Center will prepare your DS-2019 or I-20 form which you will use to apply for a J-1 or F-1 visa to the USA. If you have been accepted into an exchange program or are sponsored by an outside agency, you will be issued a DS-2019 document, to use to apply for a J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa to come to Cal Poly. After acceptance to a degree program or the VISIT Cal Poly Program, you will be issued an I-20 to apply for an F-1 student visa.
